    Just over the bend, you can get some delicious homemade pizza!

    When you make pizza at home, all you have to do is lay out some pizza dough, add some toppings, and bake it in the oven for ten minutes. Making pizza at home is delightfully simple, particularly when all you have to do is make the dough, add the toppings, and bake it. My experience has taught me that it is much simpler to complete the procedure when I create a large quantity of pizza dough in advance and store it in the freezer. In addition, pizza dough, much like the other foods that may be stored in the freezer, freezes quite well. If you create the dough a little earlier in the day, it will have a smoother consistency than if you make the dough shortly before supper time. This straightforward recipe for pizza dough yields four crusts, which may be stored in the freezer for use in subsequent meal preparation.

    Ingredients

    • 4 and a half teaspoons of instant yeast
    • 2 cups of water heated to 115 degrees
    • 2 tsp. sugar
    • 5 tablespoons of bread flour
    • 1/4 c. olive oil
    • 1 tsp. salt

    Directions

    • Place the yeast, sugar, and warm water in the bowl of an electric stand mixer. Let the mixture set for ten minutes. It is important that the liquid remain frothy and bubbly to ensure that the yeast is still active.
    • Incorporate the bread flour, olive oil, and salt into the mixture. You may use the dough hook or a wooden spoon to stir the ingredients until they are coarsely incorporated. After placing the bowl and the dough hook into the stand mixer, knead the mixture for ten minutes on a medium-low speed until it is smooth. Allow the dough to rest and rise at room temperature for around half an hour, or until it has doubled in size. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap.
    • Transfer the dough to a surface that has been gently dusted with flour, and divide it into four equal pieces. Roll each piece of dough into a ball using your hands.
    • The dough may either be rolled out and cooked at this point, or it can be frozen and used at a later time.
    • To freeze the pizza dough, put the pizza dough balls into plastic bags that can be sealed back up again. If you put more than one ball of dough into the bag, be sure to use parchment paper or wax paper to separate the individual balls so they don’t stick together.
    • To defrost the pizza dough, store it in the refrigerator the morning before you want to prepare supper. After it has thawed, roll it out and bake it as you normally would.
    • Before you begin baking, preheat the oven to 500 degrees. After the dough has been frozen or prepared from scratch, roll it out and bake each pizza for around 10 to 15 minutes.

    It’s funny to me that the grocery shop next to my flat costs $9 for four balls of pizza dough since it seems like such an outrageously high price to me. It requires very little effort and is incredibly simple to prepare on your own, particularly if you have a stand mixer. Allow me to demonstrate how to carry out the task! To get things rolling, put some yeast, sugar, and warm water in the bowl of an electric stand mixer and let it rest there for about ten minutes, or until it becomes frothy. Make a ball out of each individual piece of dough, then put the balls into a bag with a zip-top closure, taking care that the balls don’t contact one another. To prevent them from coming into contact with one another while they are freezing, I separate them with a sheet of wax or parchment paper and place them in a separate freezer bag.

    When I want to make pizza, I remove the dough from the freezer either the night before or the morning of the day I want to make pizza for supper, and then I place it in the refrigerator to thaw out. After that, proceed to lay out the dough as you normally would, sprinkle on your preferred toppings, and bake in an oven preheated to 500 degrees Fahrenheit for ten to fifteen minutes, or until the crust is as crisp as you want it.
